7th John McDonough Millenium Golf Trophy
Much to the surprise of everyone, Dunmurry Golf Course remained open and in spite of heavy rain through most of the afternoon, 24 hardy individuals competed for the prestigious John McDonough, Millennium Golf Trophy.
Having recovered with a hot shower and a change of clothes and after a few pre dinner drinks a fine meal was enjoyed by all. The presentation of prizes took place after dinner:-
Best score and the winner of the trophy was Barry Hagan with Billy Rogan runner up.Those playing were a mixture of friends and a few Rotarians and through their generosity we were able to present a cheque for £500 to President John towards The Polio Eradication Fund.
Once again thanks are due to Dunmurry golf Club and their caterers for enabling us to use the course and their facilities.
