The Rotary Club of Lisburn Trevor Guy Memorial Trust Fund
The Rotary Club of Lisburn launched an Annual Bursary in 2004 to mark the fiftieth anniversary of the founding of the Club. A trust fund was set up to manage the bursary awards and to further the Rotary objectives and themes.
Applications for the awards will open in 1st January 2011
This year the main award is worth £500 and a further £300 will be available to offer as discretionary awards between the three ‘runners up’ .
Awards will be allocated to the applicants who put forward the most interesting and worthwhile projects.
You may be considering taking a gap year before going to university or starting employment.You may wish to help a disadvantaged community at home or overseas. If so why not apply for a Rotary Club of Lisburn Bursary.
The application process involves completing a form giving details of your proposed project and the expenditure involved and a budget to show how costs will be funded.Completed applications should be forwarded to the Honorary Secretary by post.
Applications will close on 31st March 2011 and no application received after that date will be considered.
The Bursary awards will be announced before 31st May 2011

Winner 0f 2010 Bursary
Kerry Logan from Annahilt, who is going to spend 10 months in Strasbourg volunteering in a centre for disabled people has been awarded £500 as the winner of The Trevor Guy Memorial Bursary for 2010.
Kerry last year was the Rotary Club of Lagan Valley nominee who represented Rotary Ireland at the European Parliament in Strasbourg, undre thew Youth leadership scheme.
The judging panel also awarded £200 to Andrew Mc Murray who is going to Ghana to assist with Youth Clubs.
£100 was also awarded to Holly Gault.Holly is registered deaf and is going to Uganda to help underprivileged children who have learning difficulties similar to her own.
A total of eight young people were interviewed and all presentations were of a high standard
